Finance analyst
Finance Analyst | SW London - Hybrid | £35k - £40k
Our client, a business that are in an exciting period of change and growth is looking for a Finance Analyst to join them on a permanent basis. You will be at least Part Qualified Accountant who has recent Financial Analysis experience and is driven to continue to progress. The role reports to the Manager with close interaction with other functions, including but not limited to, Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Financial Operations, Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Control and Internal Audit.
You will be working on a Hybrid work pattern with around 2 days in the office.
Responsibilities include:-
Take ownership of business activity reporting for certain financial statement line items, including driving timely and accurate delivery of inputs from wider business;
Perform reconciliations and post journal entries to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately, timely, and are supportable;
Proactively help drive the GL close in accordance with the month-end timetable, and support in the streamlining and standardisation of month-end processes;
Deliver work of a high standard and ensure thorough self-review of reconciliations and journal entries to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely (right first time);
Support the Managers with the preparation of monthly statutory entity packs (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) by providing insightful commentary and analysis for financial statement line items for which you are responsible;
Support preparation of local regulatory/ compliance/ tax reporting for review by the Manager;
Seek to constantly improve and implement best practice within the team.

What you will need
Part-qualified accountant, preferably also with experience in industry;
Good academics (min 2:1) with strong A levels;
Self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced & dynamic environment and deal with ambiguity;
Continuous improvement mindset with high attention to detail;
Collaborative, proactive and able to work across teams in Finance (and beyond) to drive deliverables and process improvement;
Strong Excel skills
