BBP Engage Recruitment are working in partnership with a successful FMCG business in West Kent in the search for a Commercial Accountant to join the European Finance Team in a 12-month FTC. The role will focus on supporting the operations team from a finance perspective, managing customer profitability. The role will operate from the UK Head Office in Kent and will be predominantly office based.

The Commercial Accountant will provide support to the Commercial Team in Europe & the Finance Team in the UK.

This role will report directly to the Commercial Finance Manager with dotted line responsibility to the Commercial Director in Europe, supporting them with assisting the commercial team as well as businesses requirements globally.

Key Duties to Include:

Provide the business with timely, accurate and relevant trade reporting and analysis
Production of customer and supplier returns & profitability reports
Organising and managing weekly payments to suppliers
Preparation of various weekly/monthly reports
Ad hoc analysis and reporting
Support the business with data extracts from the ERP system
Assist the Commercial Finance Manager on preparation of quarterly & annual reviews

Previous experience in working in a Finance/Commercial role essential
Previous experience using ERP systems preferable
Studying towards a professional qualification would be advantageous (ACCA, CIMA)
