Financial Accountant | North Kent | £40k - £55k DOE
This is a great opportunity for a technically astute accountant to join a Global manufacturing company in the position of Financial Accountant, within a small, friendly and stable finance function. As Financial Accountant, you will take full responsibility for the timely and accurate financial reporting - both internally and externally. You will also manage Group tax accounting and annual corporation tax processes for this.

As part of a larger Group, the requirements of this role are constantly evolving so you must be adaptable to change.

Working on site Monday to Friday, you will be responsible for:

Preparation of monthly financial reporting and analysis for Head Office including consolidation
Preparation of monthly site management reporting
Preparing monthly forecasts including liaising with site personnel regarding delivery, cost and production data
Controlling the General Ledger including preparation, initial review and follow up of all reconciliations
Interacting with Operational teams, in order to understand and add value to the business
Half year, hard close and year end reporting requirements for Head Office
Statutory financial reporting for the company including responsibility for liaison with Group auditors
Insuring I.F.R.S. (and FRS 101 Reduced Disclosure) and MTD for VAT compliance
Internal monthly tax reporting
Quarterly tax reporting to Head Office
Preparation of annual tax returns in conjunction with tax advisors
Preparation and submission of monthly V.A.T., EC Sales, Intrastat returns and ONS surveys
Assist with daily cash forecast and monitoring of cash balances
Ad hoc tasks as and when required

Recognised Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
3-5 years’ experience in a similar role and with a background in Practice.
Experience of leading statutory reporting process
Up to date knowledge of U.K.G.A.A.P. and I.F.R.S. (FRS 101 Reduced Disclosure)
Good knowledge of producing Corporation tax returns, (submission and iXBRL tagging)
Knowledge of submitting Intrastat & V.A.T. returns
